Designer Mak Tumang’s gorgeous ‘Angela’ wedding dress, above, is a sight to be seen. With intricate details and appliques, it would be a dream for anybody to wear! Which is what inspired Emma Jayne Morris of Emma Jayne Cake Design to use the dress as the inspiration for a life-size wedding dress “cake.”
“We were asked to choose a wedding dress designer and make a cake based on one of the wedding dresses,” Morris told ABC News. “I was asked to make the only life-size wedding dress and chose Mak Tumang as his designs stopped me in my tracks. They are simply incredible.”
It took Morris 10 days to create the replica for the Cake International show at Alexandra Place in London on April 22. The cake version of the dress weight 264 pounds, of which 132 pounds of that were for fondant alone.
However before you go trying to take a slice of it or serve it at your wedding, the truth is it’s not REALLY a dessert. “There was no cake inside,” Morris said. “It was part dummy, part Rice Krispies, and marshmallow.”
Um, we’re still SUPER impressed!
