Country star Luke Combs wed longtime girlfriend Nicole Hocking earlier this month, and their wedding cake almost broke the internet.
While the pair had planned a larger ceremony and reception for this year, their plans were of course changed like so many other couples. But that didn’t stop the singer and his love from having a little extra fun when it came time to cut their cake made for two.
The pair, who plan to have a larger celebration sometime next year, took Combs’ hit, “Beer Never Broke My Heart” literally with a cake designed to look like a beer can with the message “Nicole & Beer Never Broke My Heart,” emblazoned on it.
“Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicohocking, here’s to forever,” Combs wrote to his wife on Instagram.
Hocking, who met Combs in 2016 when his first hit single, “Hurricane,” broke the charts, wrote a similar love message:
“Yesterday was the most special day!! I’m so happy to spend the rest of my life with you! Although we wish would could have had every single one of our family & friends there, we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone next year!”

Seeing Luke Combs’ wedding cake had us wanting to find more cakes just like his. Truth be told, we didn’t even know what this type of cake was called, but it seems perfect for couples celebrating at home just the two of them or with a smaller group! I would do a local Google search obviously and call a baker whose portfolio you like and ask them if they make illusion cakes. If they don’t know what you’re referring to, move on to the next.
